What does it mean to get a custom portrait from me?
Getting a custom portrait is not just about getting an artwork… It is about the whole process and journey that we take together to capture that once in a lifetime, heart and soul animal. Whether it is a dog, cat or horse, I like to learn about the animal I am working on, their quirks and silly habits, their naughtiness and their sweetness. I like to know everything I can about them, so that when you look at your portrait, you not only feel that you are looking straight into their eyes, but can almost reach out and touch them.
All of the animals that I have worked on feel like they are family, like they are animals that I knew personally. Saying goodbye to every piece is hard for me, looking into their eyes every day in my studio is a special privilege that not many people get to experience.
